The scene was surveyed, modeled, and imported into HVE. The 2005 Toyota Camry was used as-is, directly from the HVE Vehicle database. Trial and error quickly revealed the initial speed required to follow the path defined by the observed tire marks was in the range of 55 mph. Initial steering input was about 90 degrees to the left, followed by about 180 degrees to the right. Damage sustained to the left side, including both left-side wheels, was included and confirmed the orientation at impact with the ground. The simulation directly reports the orientation, forces and accelerations at the point of impact with the ground.
