  Event Editor

An event is defined as a single analysis involving the interactions between human(s), vehicles and their environment. The purpose of the HVE Event Editor is to study these interactions through the use of reconstruction and simulation models. The basic physical/mathematical model of an event provides information regarding event inputs, event set-up parameters, event calculation model and event outputs.

The HVE Event Editor has three components:

  • Event Editor Dialog — add events to current case and select current event

  • Event Viewer — displays the current environment, editing human and vehicle positions, and visualizing the current event.

  • Event Controller — includes a VCR-like panel of buttons allowing the user to start, stop, rewind to the beginning, fast forward to the end or recalculate the current event.

The HVE Event Editor allows the user to execute all HVE-compatible physics programs. Observe trajectory simulations and key results of simulations in progress.

  • Event Set-Up
Initial Position & Velocity, Driver Controls (Throttle, Brakes, Steering, Gear Selection, Path Follower), Wheel Data (Tire Blow-Out, Displacement, Brake Temperature), Damage Profiles, Payload, Lights, Collision Pulse, Contacts, Restraints

  • Time Dependent Output Variables
Kinematics, Kinetics, Accelerometers, 3-D Damage Profiles, Tires, Wheels, Connections, Drivetrain, Driver Inputs, Occupant Contacts, Belts, Airbags
