  Playback Editor

The purpose of the HVE Playback Editor is to provide for the combination of simulations from several events into a single, coherent sequence involving multiple humans and vehicles. For example, to properly simulate a real-life motor vehicle crash often includes several events involving many different vehicles and any number of occupants and pedestrians.

The HVE Playback Editor has four components:

  • Playback Editor Dialog — add report and playback windows to the current case and select the current window

  • Report Window(s) — displays the selected output and is used for viewing various program outputs

  • Playback Window — displays one or more trajectory simulations and is used for visualizing sequences involving multiple events. Also used to route the current display to AVI movie or VCR

  • Playback Controller — allows the user to start, stop, recalculate, or play events forwards or backwards. Also includes source and destination device selection options.

The HVE Playback Editor allows the user to view, print and manage all program inputs and outputs, combine and edit multiple trajectory simulations and create AVI movies.

  • Outputs
Accident History, Audit Trail, Damage Data, 3-D Damage Profiles, Driver Inputs, Environment Data, Event Data, Human Data, Injury Data, Messages, Momentum Diagrams, Program Data, Results, 3-D Site Drawing, 3-D Trajectory Simulations, Variable Output, Vehicle Data

Examples of simulation movies made directly from HVE can be found on our Downloadable 3-D Visualizations page.
