EDC RECONSTRUCTION • Accident Reconstruction Training

January 23 - 27, 2012 • Los Angeles, CA

The EDC Reconstruction course is designed specifically for accident reconstructionists who analyze vehicle damage and crash scene data to determine how an accident occurred. With the information obtained from their inspections, the reconstructionist can use EDCRASH to determine impact speeds and crash severity (delta-V).

This course covers the key concepts of how the physics calculation routines in EDCRASH work, how to apply it to your real-world cases and how to present and defend your results. You will learn how to properly collect the input data, run the program and understand the diagnostic messages and results produced by EDCRASH.

All course materials, including a handbook, training manual, software and temporary licenses will be provided. Bring your own laptop computer, as lectures are combined with hands-on computer exercises to enhance your learning experience. Exercises include oblique and collinear impact configurations that highlight the application of momentum and/or damage-based calculation procedures.

This course has been approved for 30 ACTAR CEUs. To view the course outline, click here.
