HVE ESS Model, DamageStudio and More

HVE, HVE-2D and HVE-CSI Version 8.20 provide you with new and enhanced tools that will improve and increase your capabilities. These tools include the new HVE Electronic Stability Systems Model for SIMON vehicle handling simulations, and DamageStudio for DyMESH and EDSMAC4 collision simulations.

HVE Electronic Stability Systems (ESS) Model • The ESS model provides the capability to simulate modern motor vehicle crashes involving loss-of-control due to poor driving conditions or driver overreaction during an emergency. The screenshot above is from a SIMON simulation studying the difference in response of an SUV driving in wet weather conditions on a curvy 2-lane road, with and without the HVE ESS model activated. The entire movie is posted on the HVE Software YouTube Channel - just click on the screenshot to start the player.

DamageStudio® for HVE-2D and EDSMAC4 • DamageStudio is now available in Version 8.20 as an option for both HVE and HVE-2D users. In addition to SIMON/DyMESH simulations, EDSMAC4 also supports DamageStudio, allowing HVE-2D users to visualize the collision and directly correlate the damage with force, acceleration and delta-V.

Version 8.20 also offers other exciting new features, such as:

  • Enhanced Status Bar Reporting
  • Color Matched Key Results Windows
  • Extended Vehicle Data Parameters
  • Improved "Copy To Other Side" Options
  • and much, much more ...
