HVE Driver Model Path Visualization In Version 9

In Version 9, the path that the HVE Driver Model attempts to follow is now visualized directly in the event. Once the user establishes the attempted path by placing targets at key positions, the attempted path calculated by the spline algorithm is displayed as a dotted line.

The HVE Driver Model allows users to define an attempted maneuver and have the simulation determine the required steering, braking and throttle inputs. Applications include lane-change maneuvers and the evaluation of speed versus controllability, such as a vehicle attempting to make a left-turn at a speed that is too high for the available friction, as shown below.

The HVE Driver Model is just one of the many technologies and features available in Version 9. For more information about HVE, HVE-2D and HVE-CSI Version 9, contact EDC at 888.768.6216.
