Title
I am trying to accelerate a vehicle in reverse in EDSMAC (or EDSMAC4, EDSVS or EDVTS). I can get the vehicle to start with an initial velocity backwards, but when I provide throttle inputs the vehicle changes direction and starts accelerating forwards
I want to increase the inter-vehicle friction between two vehicles colliding with each other in my EDSMAC4 event. I used to find this in the Calculation Options for the event, but I don not see it listed there. Where do I make the adjustment?
I am running a SIMON event of a heavy commercial vehicle performing a handling maneuver. When I start the simulation, the vehicle's axles are jumping all over the place causing the vehicle to behave erratically. What's happening?
I have set up a SIMON event and I am trying to simulate one car crashing into another. However, when I run the event, the vehicles just pass through each other. Why aren't they colliding with each other?
I want to get a clearer picture of the actual crush damage profile from my EDSMAC4 simulation. Is there a better way for me to do this than by plotting out the change of shape of x and y coordinates identified in the Damage Data report?
I was reading through technical papers and newsletter about DyMESH and I am curious as to what is the definition of a "watertight" mesh model?
I am just getting started using SIMON and DyMESH for a collision simulation. One vehicle has a very detailed geometry file, and the other is a generic geometry. Do you have any advice to help me achieve the best results?
What is the difference between the three accelerations (Fwd Acc, Lat Acc, Vert Acc) and u-dot, v-dot, and w-dot displayed in Key Results?
I need to simulate a freeway pile-up collision scenario involving 20 vehicles. I am able to create an EDSMAC4 event with 20 vehicles in it, but when I try to increase beyond 20, I am unable to create the event. Why?
How do I start my simulation with the vehicle traveling in reverse?
